The park is located on south eastern Kenya, 240km from Nairobi along the western side of Mombasa-Nairobi highway. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges.
Kamboyo Guest House Tsavo West Kenya is located in Tsavo West National Park accessed through Mtito Andei gate which is 232km from the capital city and 247km to the coastal region.
Lake Jipe Bandas is located on the shores of Lake Jipe Bandas. There are three(3) units. Each is equipped with 2 single beds. Showers and toilets are communal.

It is set amongst the volcanic landscape and with the fresh waters of the Mzima and Kitani springs; the area is rich in wildlife. The Kitani Safari Lodge was probably the first lodge in Tsavo west as it was originally built in 1954.It is now affiliated to the nearby Severin Safari camp.

During the construction of the railway bridge over the Tsavo River in 1898 by the British for what was known as the Uganda Railway, approximately 140 were killed by two mane-less male lions, over a period of 3 months. The Original site where these events took place is where today's Man Eater's is located.
