It is set amongst the volcanic landscape and with the fresh waters of the Mzima and Kitani springs; the area is rich in wildlife. The Kitani Safari Lodge was probably the first lodge in Tsavo west as it was originally built in 1954.It is now affiliated to the nearby Severin Safari camp.
Kitani consist of 8 self catering bandas, all the 8 bandas have running water, en-suite bathrooms with showers/WC, and each banda is furnished with 2 beds with mosquito nets. Linen and towel are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with two burner stove and kitchen utensils. But if the guest prefers to eat out one can visit the John Wayne snack bar or the Severin Safari Camp approximately 800 metres away.
