The Maasai Mara National Reserve (also spelled Masai Mara; known by the locals as The Mara) is a largest and most famous game reserve Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. It is named in honor of the Maasai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: "Mara", which is Maa (Maasai language) for "spotted," an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.
Naboisho Camp Maasai Mara is situated in the Naboisho Conservancy (a 50,000 acre area) that lies to the far east of the Mara/Serengeti Eco system. The camp is in close proximity to vast open plains which are untraversed by other camps and tourists, your game viewing here will be exceptional, as well as completely exclusive. Night drives and walking is also a highlight.
