Wajee Mara Camp is situated in a very good camouflaged and forested area, offering an authentic African experience without sacrificing safety or comfort. Simply designed and built with wood and canvas, the large campfire area and dining area of the camp overlook the surrounding lush forest.
The camp comprises 9 standard tents and 6 deluxe self-contained tents furnished in a contemporary yet comfortable style. A private outdoor seating area in front of each tent allows guests to relax and take in sights and sounds of the bush.
The camp also features a dining area, kitchen with a professional chef, a shower block with flushing toilets and hot running water; among a host of many other amenities. The camp welcomes adults as well as children of all ages. Our full-board rates include accommodation, all meals and beverages.
The Luxury Cabin:Wajee Mara Camp's Deluxe cabin is comfortably furnished with an en-suite bathroom, flushing toilet and hot safari shower, low wattage lighting is supplied via solar. Triple and Quad family arrangements (1 double & 2 single beds) are also available. The cabin is placed in an exclusive corner of the camp providing a serene and private setting.
Comfortable Tents:
The canvas wall frontage of the tents can be opened completely to afford a view of the camp. Relax on one of our chairs positioned outside the tents and watch birds, vervet monkeys and other wildlife roaming in the camp. Standard Tents:
Wajee Mara Camp's standard camp has nine spacious Standard Safari Tents. They have canvas walls and a zip out front. They are pitched under a canvas roof. Each is furnished with either a double or twin bed. There are safari chairs placed outside with views overlooking the surrounding forest. The campsite has its own dining area and kitchen where finger-licking dishes are prepared and served. An open bonfire is set up in the evenings where guests can exchange stories of the day's escapades.
Basic Campsite:
Wajee Mara Camp features open camping grounds where you can pitch your own tent. The area is large enough to be zoned into individual private areas with a cooking and dinning section. In addition they have strategically located convenience facilities (bathrooms and shower block) at close quarters.The camping grounds are famous with back-packers and other budget outdoor adventure enthusiasts.
