Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located in South Western Uganda on the edge of the western rift valley covering 331 sq. kms. It is one of the largest natural forests in East Africa supporting a large number of plants and animals not found elsewhere. About half the world's population of 600 mountain gorillas resides in Bwindi
Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see Lion, Leopard, Giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, Elephants, Waterbuck, Ugandan Kob, Topi and Bush buck among others.
Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi Impenetrable
Our representative will pick you at your hotel in Kampala, brief you on the safari and depart by road heading South-West towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a stopover for some informative talk and photographic opportunity at the Equator and then continue to Mbarara for Lunch. Travel through the 'Switzerland of Uganda' with rolling green hills through the highlands, with views of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. The road will then lead us to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas where you will sleep to the sounds of the mountain rainforest. Day 2: Tracking Gorillas in Uganda
Early morning, have a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for tracking gorillas, a reasonable degree of fitness is required for the experience. It is standard procedure to report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers by 08h00. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which trek can take from half an hour to 9 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It's amazing to sit, watch and photograph the gorillas in the forest among, listening to them marvel and grumble to each other. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful creatures left, which is allowed for only 1 hour! Other mammals in the forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and many others.
You may opt to spend the afternoon taking a guided walk along the Munyaga River trail, which leads to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls views of epiphytic ferns, tree ferns, orchids and colorful butterflies. Overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board)
Day 3: Bwindi - Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, depart for Murchison falls driving through the beautiful country side. Continue through the park stopping at the top of the falls where the longest river is forced through a narrow gap in the rock (only 7 meters wide), before ferociously plunging down 43 meters down. We enjoy a game drive spotting Buffalos, Hippos, Elephants and variety of bird species. Dinner and Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park with a Boat Trip
Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Ruwenzori as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These two game drives and the boat trips are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. The unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing in Uganda. The birdlife is colorful and abundant. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth - Depart for Kampala
After breakfast, we depart for Kampala arriving late in the evening. Otherwise transfer to the Entebbe airport to catch your flight back home.

Please bring the following for tracking gorillas:
Hiking boots (ankle level boots), Gloves, warm cardigan, comfortable hiking with long sleeved top, Hooded rain coat, Camera / Camcorder, Water proof container for the cameras, a pair of binoculars if you are a keen bird watcher, hat or a baseball cap
Caution: Children under 15 are not permitted to track gorillas.
