Our representative will pick up from your hotel in Arusha Town and drive to Ngorongoro Crater with unique views of the high altitude rain forest surrounding the rim and arriving in time for lunch at the lodge.

After lunch descend to the crater for game viewing. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge built into the rim of a dormant volcano. The plant and ivy-covered native stone blends perfectly with the surroundings. Guest rooms have private terraces with views of the crater floor where countless animals make their home. This collapsed caldera is 610 meters deep and has a floor 18 km wide. Views from the rim of the crater are spectacular. The crater has become a unique conservation area where Africa's Big Five; Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo roam in perfect safety. Other wildlife species recorded here include the Silver back jackal, Bat eared fox, Wildebeest, Common Zebra, Maasai Giraffe, Somali Ostrich among others. Over 250 bird species have also been recorded here.

Day 2: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara / Tarangire National Park Tanzania
After breakfast, depart to either Lake Manyara or Tarangire National Park. Lunch and afternoon game drive in this superb scenic Park set around Lake Manyara, most famous for the tree climbing lions. Lake Manyara just like Lake Nakuru in Kenya is a bird watcher's paradise. Marvel at the variety of species, spoonbill, teal, pelican, kingfisher, hornbill and cormorant. In the tall trees, forest monkeys leap from branch to branch on the slope of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment; Africa Elephants browse in the shade of the baobab trees while tucked in the acacia woodland lions lie draped along the branches of the umbrella trees. Tarangire National Park's name originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. Tarangire National Park which features some of the greatest concentration of game in Tanzania is less crowded and unspoiled possessing a wild of beauty. The park is famous for its huge number of Elephants, Buffalos, Baobab trees, Waterbucks, Giraffes, Olive Baboons among other wildlife. The swamps are the focus of the largest selection of breeding birds anywhere in the world. Yellow-collared Lovebirds are a common bird sighting in the trees along the Tarangire River. The park is also famous for the Termite mounds that dot the landscape.
