1 Day Mt Kilimanjaro One Day Trekking is designed for guests who have limited time and who are not interested in reaching the summit of the Rooftop of Africa. This safari is gentle but steep tailored for hiking through the cool and wet tropical forest offering beautiful scenery along the trail of the mountain with sounds of surrounding streams, abundant bird species, towering Eucalyptus trees, Colobus Monkeys among other genus found in this ecosystem.
This day climb along Marangu Route to Mandara hut the first base camp on this route is a great way to experience mount Kilimanjaro environment without much pressure of summiting the Uhuru Peak
Itinerary
At 0630hrs, Africa Hub Vacations Representative will pick you up from your Moshi hotel and head off to Kilimanjaro National Park headquarters at Marangu gate (1980m). After gate formalities, we start our hike with picnic lunch enroute which will take about 3 - 5 hours depending on an individuals / group pace to Mandara hut 1st base camp (2700m). After a short break, start an acclimatization hike to Maundi Crater (2973m) which is the highlight of this day tour displaying scenic surroundings as well as views of Southern Kenya and Northern Tanzania. Descend through the forest trail to Marangu gate which takes 2hours. After conquering the challenge, we will embark on our journey back to Moshi ETA 1730hrs
