Ol Pejeta House in Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary Kenya

Print PDF

Ol Pejeta House is a luxury private lodge standing at the centre of the 110,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which lies on the Laikipia plains 27 kilometers from Nanyuki Town and 217 kilometers from Nairobi. Transfers by road from Nairobi take approximately 3.5 hours.
Ol Pejeta House is set against the spectacular backdrop of magnificent Mount Kenya in 24,000 acres of Ol Pejeta - Sweetwaters Conservancy still retains the bygone tradition of Kenya's famous farmhouse hospitality.

Ol Pejeta House was once the exclusive ranch house of multi-millionaire Adnan Kashoggi, this magnificently presented house stands at the centre of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Ol Pejeta House is managed by the Serena Hotels and is set in extensive grounds, with glorious views of Mount Kenya; this opulent mansion features a series of reception rooms, including an elegant drawing room with baronial fireplace and a series of scenic verandas, which extend right around the house.

The imposing dining room is served by its own dedicated chef and kitchens, and menus can be tailored exactly to suit our guests' wishes. Ol Pejeta House accommodation includes a private guest cottage, two master suites and two guest bedrooms while the grounds include two private swimming pools and a barbeque and external dining area.

Ol Pejeta House is a short drive from the luxury Sweetwaters Tented Camp and it enjoys all the exclusivity of its private location while being close enough to the camp to have access to all its many facilities.

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is host to all the members of the 'Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan National Park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya.

At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species. Ol Pejeta Serena House has its own airstrip.
