Villa Holiday, Diani Mombasa is located at Diani Beach less than 500 metres from the radiating white sandy surf. It combines african flair and european standards of comfort. Situated at the centre of a 4100 sqm subtropical garden, surrounded by a wall for privacy, lined by colourful and fragrant bougainvilleas outside. Inside you find banana, abaca, passion fruit, pawpaw, mango, coconut, and flowers of singular beauty. Birds seek shade in the canopies of trees and entertain you with their delightful chatter.
You have a 13 m private pool directly in front of your roofed porch. Whether you share it or not while appreciating your sundowner: it is only your decision
Pool
The pool lies only three meters far away from your terrace and has a total volume of 13 meters. You can go over stages into the cool wet. Only after some meters the soil drops to the swimming range. In the pool is a seat, on which you can enjoy your drink with the sunset. The romantic evening light reflects itself in your lit up pool. The care of the pool is incumbent on the gardner, who is contained in the price. Also there are no closing hours for the pool, how one knows it from many hotel plants. Completely equal when you want to draw your courses, do you it simply.
Garden
For ourselves this is Garden Eden. We are confident that you will share this judgment after your visit. It is all planted with lawn, kept under irrigation, and green all the year round. You find abaca, mango, pawpaw, passion fruit, and, of course, the ubiquitous bougainvillea with their wonderful blossoms. Another peculiarity is the "trees of travellers".
Porch
In most parts of Africa the porch supplements the sitting room, or even substitutes it. So in Kenya, too. Here is life all day long. A second porch, the breakfast porch, is adjacent to the kitchen for short distances. Here our staff will serve you breakfast, if you wish. At no extra cost.
The second (main-) porch looks onto pool and subtropical garden. Here is a big dining table seating 8. A seating arrangement with armchairs, couch and loveseats, deck chairs is completing it. All furniture has been manufactured by an african carpenter individually. The big porch is shaded all day by the large makutiroof and excels by its climate beneath. Here you can relax, sunbathe, eat, drink, or party.
Bedroom
There are two large bedrooms, with a double bed each, made of rustic mangrove wood. Or son being a tall giant, one bedroom has a king size bed. To sleep is an important activity for our well-being, that is why we decided not to cut corners when furnishing the bedrooms. Mattresses have been manufactured in Nairobi and provide highest sleep comfort. All beds are equipped with mosquito screens and a rotary ceiling fan above, providing a soft air turbulence the mosquitoes don't like.
Bathroom
There is a bathroom for every bedroom, equipped with two wash basins each, toilet and shower. Additionally, the mistress bathroom prides itself of a bidet. The showers are suitable for wheelchairs. You control an ample supply of water, the house having its own well. A geyser keeps the desired temperature range, any time and any quantity. Towels are in every bathroom, at no extra cost. Used laundry is thrown in the basket which is emptied daily. Rosi the maid does it, including ironing. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom, no need to pack one.
Sitting room
The upper floor harbours the sitting room, almost 200 sqm in size. It contains a dining table for 8, too, and couch and armchairs. Towards east and west, two large balconies. Again, all furniture has been manufactured locally and is unique in some way. But the most fascinating is the impressive sight into the coarse wooden beams of the makuti roof.
Kitchen
This is the domain of the ever joyful Rosie the maid. This is where she prepares all meals that you do not wish to do yourself. The kitchen is fully equipped, with an electric and gas stove and oven, fridge, freezer, and all the other paraphernalia modern man cannot exist without, such as toaster, coffee percolator, pots and pans, all kinds of dishes, and the corresponding hardware. On top of that we had a kitchen trawler manufactured.
Carport
You have a spacious double carport to keep rented vehicles under a roof. It is easily accessible, and the makutiroof gives protection from sunlight. Adjacent to the carport is the realm of the staff, with staff toilet and shower, and a storage room.
