Lamu Island Villa Lamu Shela
Located on the shores of East Africa, in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Kenya, Lamu is a town, an island, and an archipelago. There, time seems to have stopped somewhere in the XVIII or XIX century, and life is still much what it used to be at the time of the Sultanates of Pate and Zanzibar. Alternating endless beaches and mysterious mangroves, old historical buildings and untouched nature, fishing trips and barbecue, Lamu has much to offer for any all holiday.
Lamu Town is a small port, separated from Manda Island by a channel. Small beaches can be found on the channel (300m from the house). Beaches facing the open sea are past Shela (20 min walk, 5 min boat), or across the channel at Manda Beach (10 min boat).
