Activities
Lamu is magnetic and very interesting. Your character has helped island conservation. The various influences that have left through centuries Portuguese, Persian, Indian and English, mixed with Bantu culture, Lamu have given an architectural style and a unique culture.
Wandering around the narrow streets looking buildings with local materials, lime, coral and wood carvings, take a ginseng tea on their roofs turned into terraces, stroll through the markets (especially interesting the meat), visiting mosques and museums, shopping crafts, go fishing dhow, yoga or just lie on the sand dunes of a beach break to sunset, hearing the call to prayer and letting time pass while we prepare the most delicious crab imaginable ... are some of the options offered by this unique island where no cars and motorbikes are allowed, where no modern technology has come and the time to finally ...relax!
