Savona Isle Resort is built within a U-Shape of the meandering Isiukhu River,which flows from the water catchment areas of the Kakamega forest, in the style of an African village.
The resort is accessed via a permanent bridge,which provides the perfect location for the facility's entrance gate. The resort is situated on an isle of approximately three acres,on the outskirts of Kakamega town at the edge of Kakamega Forest.
Overview
The small and intimate Savona comprises of eight rondavels of 2 twin/double rooms each.A spacious bedroom , a private toilet,a shower and a private balcony overlooking the river makes up the accommodation.
The Resort is supplied by electricity and hot water is available at all times.
An elaborate menu provides for an international clientele while any guests who wish to try out the local delicacies would not be disappointed. Meats,poultry,pork products and seafood are in plenty, while fruits and vegatables are served fresh from the local markets.www.crocodileracers.com
The resort facilities include a separate reception area, a well stocked bar,a restaurant, a shop and a full size heated swimming pool, a bar-be-que restaurant.
There is a restaurant catering for 100 guests. A 'nyama choma' den and entertainment area is also being built. There is a gift shop, saloon and swimming pool and there are plans for a fitness centre.
