Midland Hotel is an integral part of Nakuru whose history goes all the way back to the 1900's. In the early days only 1st class railway passengers were taken-in. Then it was called Nakuru Railway Hotel before becoming Midland Hotel in 1957. Famous personalities like the Queen Mother have been guests here. Today it is a cosmopolitan hotel retaining its old charm in modern setting but upholding the highest standards true to its tradition.
The hotel has 61 spacious, well pointed rooms all en suit with lovely mahogany furnishing, telephones and televisions in all rooms. The room categories are as below:

We have a total of four (4) club rooms that offers unrivalled luxury, from wall to wall carpet to the comfortable bathrobes and sandals.
The rooms are all en-suite with bathtubs & shower, lovely mahogany furnishings, four poster King size bed, tea/coffee making facilities, fully stocked mini-bar and satellite TVs.
A complimentary local newspaper and free high-speed wireless internet is also available in the rooms.
DELUXE ROOMS
There are a total of 20 deluxe rooms which are elegantly furnished in warm tones. The rooms are all en-suite with bathtubs & shower, lovely mahogany furnishings, four poster King size bed, tea/coffee making facilities and satellite TVs.
Complimentary local newspaper and free high-speed wireless internet is also available.
STANDARD ROOMS
There are a total of 37 standard rooms of which 24 are in one wing with views of either the car park or the town centre whereas the remaining 13 rooms are located on the garden wing.
All the 24 car-park/town facing rooms have wall to wall carpets and large wardrobes.
The 13 garden facing rooms open to a "courtyard" garden with a lovely fresh feel atmosphere.
All the standard rooms have ensuite bathrooms and satellite TVs. Complimentary local newspaper and free high-speed wireless internet are also available.

TERRACE RESTAURANT
This "easy", open-air restaurant offers customers with high quality convenient meals and unbelievably quick service. The restaurant has the unique aspect of offering real time meals in a fast –food paced style in a hotel set-up.
Over the years, our spit grilled chicken has evolved to become synonymous with the restaurant. The chicken is barbecued over a charcoal grill to give it a rich golden colour, thus becoming a tradition that has grown to become a sensation. Other meal offers are also available from our rich menu.
FLAMINGO GRILL RESTAURANT
Our main restaurant, flamingo grill offers a varied and rich menu that suits every palate including vegetarians. Continental and oriental dishes are also richly featured in our menu.
Breakfast in the restaurant is mainly buffet with a choice of either buffet or ala carte available for lunch and dinner. A Business Man's menu for guests who want a quick meal is also available.
The restaurant is cozy and cool hence the ideal venue for fine-dining.
GARAGE BAR
The garage bar is opened from 10.00A.M up to midnight every day. A fine collection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available.
A talented resident guitarist is at hand to entertain guests every evening.
ROOM SERVICE
The hotel offers room service with a special room service menu.

We have two conference rooms of which each can accommodate up to 100 people classroom style and 250 people on theatre style. The conference rooms all have free fast speed wireless internet. LCD projector, PA system and screens are all also available for our meetings. (see conference brochure)
We have a special outside catering product dubbed, "The Midland Jikos" that specializes in outdoor catering for a wide range of occasions from corporate events, business lunches, office parties, birthday celebrations, conferences, social events and weddings.
