Nairobi to Kiwayu by air/flight takes about 1 hour 50minuts then a short drive over the dunes to the Lodge. Kiwayu Safari Village Hotel can also be reached from Lamu where there is the option of a private air charter (15 minutes) , a speed boat ( 1 hour 40 minutes ) or more romantically by dhow which will depends on the tides and winds.... may take 8 hours or more !
