This is a scenic route and most commonly used option of ascending to Point Lenana. It is an uphill task literally as the ascent is gradual and your inner resolve is often put into trial. At this point your potential to deal with personal issues, unlocking your innate person is what you are leveled upto.
Naromoru - Naromoru Route is considered a good beginners introduction to Mountaineering in Kenya. Disclaimer: There is no easy route parsee because we each have our own mountains, but this one is to go for. Each of our mountains presents what one is going through in their different seasons of life.
We will have exposed you to several pre-mountain climbs to sensitize and adjust your body to the new challenge awaiting.

4 NIGHTS 5 DAYS MOUNTAIN HIKE TO POINT LENANA PEAK (4985AMS) THROUGH NAROMORU GATE / ROUTE
HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS ROUTE: Montane forest through hargenia, game and wildlife including buffalo, elephant, leopard, mountain hyrax, different bird species, Moorland and bogs, tarns and lakes, Alpine scree desert, springs of fresh water, snowy peaks, mountain bandas, campsites and offcourse fellow hikers from all races.
Day 1: Nairobi - Naromoru - Met Station
Transfer from Nairobi to Naromoru Park gate (Alt 2650m). Proceed on with picnic lunch at the gate. Start an acclimatization hike to met station 3 - 4 hrs 9kms (Alt 3080) to arrive late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Met Station camp
Day 2: Met Station - Mackinders
After breakfast, leave Met station towards Mackinder's camp for dinner and overnight. Lunch enroute 6 - 7 hrs (14km) Alt 4300m
Day 3: Mackinders
Acclimatize at Mackinders and a hike to the tarns and back to camp for lunch 3 hrs (Alt 4500m). Dinner and overnight at Mackinders camp
Day 4: Mackinders - Point Lenana - Met Station
Pre-dawn start from 0200hrs Mackinders to summit point Lenana Alt 4985m for sunrise and thereafter descend down to Mackinders camp for full breakfast. Further descend down to Met Station with lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at Met Station camp. (7 - 8 hrs)
Day 5: Met Station - Nairobi
After breakfast and feeling like achievers and we surely are, it is easy going down enjoying the cool mountain weather. We depart the camp to connect with the transfer vehicle to our onward destination.
