Mount Kenya Climb One Day Trekking is designed for guests who have limited time and who are not interested in reaching any of the summits. This safari is tailored to those who are interested in seeing the fascinating vegetation zones of an equatorial mountain as well as the associated animal and bird species found in this ecosystem.

There are three main routes through which one can approach Mount Kenya: the Naro Moru Route, the Sirimon Route and the Chogoria Route. Mount Kenya one-day trips & hills are for visitors who would be spending a night in any lodge, hotel and hostel within Mount Kenya region. A guest can also do an early departure from Nairobi (0600hrs) so as to arrive at the base of Mt Kenya by 0900hrs.

Our representative will pick you from your hotel in Nairobi or from the base of Mt Kenya at 0600hrs and brief you on the safari before proceeding for a worthy day`s walk via Naromoru route. This tour offers a great opportunity to visitors with limited time to reach the Peaks of Mount Kenya (Point Lenana 4985 m, Nelion 5188m and Batian 5199m. This acclimatization tour to the lower slopes of Mt Kenya is for those looking for a worthy trekking challenge at the same time those interested in seeing the captivating vegetation zones of an equatorial mountain forest.

Hiking begins along Naromoru trail towards the Met Station with picnic lunch enroute. Alternatively, we will board a 4X4 vehicle from the gate to Met station. We will begin our hike from Met Station. After reaching 4000m or further, the peaks and valleys of Mt Kenya will be visible though from afar. After conquering the challenge, we will embark on our journey back to Nairobi or to your base hotel in Nanyuki / Naro Moru or Sweet Waters Sanctuary.

One day Mount Kenya Day Excursion includes:

• Return transport from the Naromoru or Nanyuki base hotels / lodges / hostels (extra transfer charges apply for departures from Nairobi)
• Picnic lunch on the mountain,

One day Mount Kenya Day Excursion excludes:

• Extra Drinks & meals. (These can be arranged at an extra cost upon request)
• Rock climbing fees to Point John or other technical climbing spots in Mt Kenya (can be arranged fee payable to the rock climbing guide)
• Tips or gratuity
• Travellers' insurance
• Laundry & communication charges
• Visas, international airfares and airport taxes; sightseeing not included in the package; optional activities
• Personal expenses such as transfers to/from the airport (supplement airport transfer cost applies for tours starting from the airport)
• Any other item not mentioned in the inclusive list
