Depart in the morning from your beach hotel to Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary. Have a mid-morning game drive.

Mwaluganje is a bull area boasting superb opportunity to see Kenya's big elephant's tuskers which are a big attraction. Mwaluganje is historical area where independent elephant bulls grow in preparation for the demanding life of breeding males.

Shimba Hills National Reserve on the other hand holds one of the largest areas of coastal rain forest in East Africa after Arabuko Sokoke. The vegetation consists of forested scarp slopes and undulating grasslands interspersed with woodland clumps and ribbons of riverine forest in the steeply cut valleys. The Scenic landscape comprising of hills and valleys extending beyond the reserve boundaries are wonderful to behold. Main attractions are Sheldricks Falls and the rare Sable antelope. Hot sumptuous lunch will be served at the Coastal Tree Lodge.

Visit Shimba Hills to experience cool sea breezes, frequent mists and early morning clouds. Known for waterfalls, forests and bird viewing.

The reserve is about 30 kms south of Mombasa and a quick 10 Kms from Diani beach.

Safari picks up & drops off at:

Mombasa City, Nyali beach resorts, Mombasa Port, Shanzu beach resorts, Kilifi beach resorts, Bamburi beach resorts.

Tour pick up time: Tour collects from Mombasa and North coast beach hotels at 7:00am.

The drives takes approximately 1 hour across the Likoni Ferry if starting from Mombasa.
