Eliye Springs Beach is located on the Western unspoiled white sandy shores of Lake Turkana. Lake Turkana is the world's largest permanent Desert lake and the world's largest alkaline lake. Lake Turkana is also known as the Jade Sea due to its remarkable blue green color or Lake Rudolf, Turkana county is branded as The Origin and cradle of Mankind.

Capture out of this world sunrise and sunset. Sleep under the prolific stars display. Bird watching paradise along the beaches as well as at Central Island National Park, learn a thing or two of the local Aturkana people.

Day 1: Nairobi – Lodwar

Depart Nairobi aboard a flight to Lodwar which has a stopover in Eldoret. You should arrive in Lodwar by 930am and in good time for your ground transfer to Eliye Beach.
A manageable distance of 50kms passing through dry laggas and sand dunes. The temperatures there are quite something and at a high of 39 degrees. So hydrate suffuciently and carry appropriate desert weather clothing as well as facial sun blockcream preferrably with a minimum of SPF 50.

All professionalism observed at the airports, during your ground transfer and upon arrival at your beach resort in Eliye Springs.
Meal plan is on Half board so your first included meal will be dinner. Lunch and any in between meals can be ordered at the resort`s restaurant.

Since your arrival was early by mid morning, you can indulge in one excursion. Actually depending on the wind at the sea, a boat excursion to the famous and a UNESCO world heritage site - 1997 to Central Park would be ideal. This island is a host to three unique breeding lakes for flamingo, nile crocodile and tilapia fish. Each lake is magnificently rich in its own way.

Day 2: Spend full day at the beach of Lake Turkana - Eliye Beach.

West Turkana offers a rich heritage of culture for the aturkana people. There are occassions before covid when there was an annual cultural event where different subtribes of the turkana people would show case their traditions and way of life at a designated place. The Tobong`ulore festival (Lake Turkana Festivals) was recently introduced by the Turkana County Council and had established its roots before covid disrupted the norms of close physical interractions.

Enjoy a restful day at the beaches of turkana. Optional activities:

Fishing and interractions with the fishermen of this lake, visit to the turkana boy monument, Drone / photography at the Napeget sand dunes, bird watching at the central island among other excursions. These are charged extra and can be organzied in advance.

Day 3: Full day at Eliye Beach.
Again spend this day at own leisure. The resort offers free access to their natural swimming pool that has its source of water from nearby and underneath springs. Read, stroll or just sleep in a bid to relax.

Just before dusk, our representative will transfer you to Lodwar town for your layover in a central hotel so that you are able to catch your early morning (0945hrs) flight the following morning. Accommodation will be at either Acacia residence cottages, Stegra Hotel or its equivalent.

Meal plan (Half board) Bed, breakfast & dinner

Day 4: Lodwar - Nairobi

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the Lodwar airstrip in time to catch your flight back to Nairobi. ETA is 1140hrs
