Day 1: Nairobi – Arusha – Manyara Meeting point – Steers (Muindi Mbingu Street opposite the Jeevanjee Gardens) at 0710hrs, departure @ 0745hrs. Transfer from Nairobi to Arusha town via Namanga border with packed lunch enroute. Proceed for an afternoon game drive at Lake Manyara park. Dinner and overnight stay at our base lodge in Manyara. (Lunch & Dinner)
Day 2: After enjoying an early breakfast in the African sunrise, we depart for L. Manyara National Park. We enjoy a morning game drive and drive back in time for lunch at our base lodge. Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the cool swimming pool or at own leisure.
Lake Manyara National Park is serene and beautiful with main attractions of a rich bird life, tree-climbing lions, elephants and hippos that you can view from a close range. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake and at certain times of the year hosts thousands of flamingos and a diversity of other bird life. Although it is one of the smallest parks, its vegetation is so diverse enabling it to host a variety of wildlife habitats. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 3: (Christmas Day) After an early breakfast, we spend a full day within the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Ngorongoro Crater is the world's biggest hole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa's largest populations of large mammals. Within its walls are a variety of animals and vegetation (ranging from grasslands to swamps, forests, salt pans and a fresh water lake). You are likely to see Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, and many of the plains herbivores such as wildebeest, Thomson's gazelle, Zebra, Reedbuck, as well as thousands of flamingos wading in the shallows of Lake Magadi – the soda lake at the craters base. Picnic lunch, sumptuous Christmas buffet dinner and overnight stay at our base lodge (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 4: After breakfast, check out and embark on our journey back to Nairobi. ETA in Nairobi: 1830hrs local time. (Breakfast & Lunch)
