Savage Wilderness Camp Sagana Kenya is about 2 hours drive from Nairobi. To go whitewater rafting, Kayaking or Bungee jumping, savage camp offers a perfect accommodation base.
Accommodation:
Who says comfort and adventure are mutually exclusive? Over 23 years, the Camp has evolved into a home away from home with a variety of different accommodation to suit your needs and your budget. 21 beautiful nests accommodate up to 85 people. Bunk houses accommodate 60 and we can also provide tents for up to 100. You can choose whether you go for catered or self-catering, and our other facilities include laundry, bar, curio souvenir shop and swimming pools to make your stay that much more comfortable.www.crocodileracers.com
Cottages & Nests
We have 17 cottages at our riverside campsite, all with their own patios and en-suite bathrooms. Each cottage has 3 beds with the option of a fourth if required. Although the area is not a malaria zone, we provide a mosquito net for every bed.
Safari Tents
At Camp we have 5 African safari tents, all with a shaded patio, en suite bathrooms and 3 beds. There is an option of a fourth bed if needed.
Bunk Houses
At Camp we have two bunk houses, which are perfect for school or youth groups looking for cheaper accommodation. Each bunk house can hold 32 beds and offers mosquito protection.
Camping
There are 7 lovely grassy areas at Camp, perfect for camping. We provide and erect your two man tent so that it's ready for you when you arrive. Two mattresses are also provided.
Facilities
We have steadily upgraded the campsite facilities over the last few years to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
Eating Areas
Our riverside Camp has outside shaded eating areas, all with a BBQ grill, washing facilities, tables and chairs. Food tastes even better in these beautiful surroundings.
Bar
The bar at Camp is known as the 'Paddle Inn' and is open daily from noon to 11pm. We offer beers and soft drinks and have a television so you don't have to miss out on your favourite soccer match.
Curio Shop
Our Curio Shop has little souvenirs for everyone, from traditional Kenyan arts and crafts to Savage Wilderness T-shirts. The shop is open daily from 2pm to 7pm.
Laundry
Our cleaning staff offers a laundry service. Please ask at Reception and allow at least two days for your clothes to come back clean and dry.
Parking
We have one large parking area at the entrance to the camp that easily accommodates 7 buses. Two night guards patrol on a regular basis, ensuring that all vehicles are secure. We also have a small parking area, which we use for unloading. If you wish to park your car here for the night there is a charge.
