The beach area of Watamu offers great opportunities for water sport activities and beach combing on pristine white sands. Watamu has one of the top ten beaches in the world, where the sand is dazzlingly white. Opposite Ndege House are teeming coral reefs and stretching back is the intriguing Sokoke Forest Reserve. Flanked by Mida Creek, a turtle breeding area, Watamu is a designated UN area of outstanding natural beauty.
