if you are preparing for serious treks like Mt Meru, Kenya, Kilimanjaro among others, variety of flora e.g Loberia, Giant heather among others, Haven for Botany enthusiasts, Canopy of towering Bamboo zone, Narrow trail scattered every few steps by treacherous mud when wet, wonderful views of the surrounding countryside including Naivasha, Thika, Sasumua Dam, Ndakaini Dam among others.
We will drive through the southern end of the Aberdare Ranges about 90km North of Nairobi. Proceed for a guided trekking along the Bamboo forest. The flora and fauna is quite unique and only found in Mount Kenya Region. The hike up the hill takes a minimum of 4½ hours starting at an altitude of 2,500m. For the strong-willed, the hike goes over slightly rocky terrain at an altitude of over 3,500m above sea level with temperature dropping significantly. The climb finally comes to an end at the famous Elephant Hill table which is at 3,900m above sea level.
We will enjoy a bush picnic lunch provided by Afrika Hub Vacations before descending to the base which is as challenging as ascending; doing another 2 - 3 hours.

After conquering the challenge and thoroughly testing our fitness and acclimatization prowess, we will embark on our journey back ETA in Nairobi: 1845hrs local time.
