Solio Lodge Slopes of Mount Kenya & the Aberdare Ranges
The Lodge is located on the Solio Reserve which is part of a private ranch and is home to a diverse and numerous population of wildlife, including black and white rhino which is a rare species.
Desired privacy, exclusivity, exceptional game viewing and luxurious accommodation are the hallmark at Solio ranch. Solio Lodge has 4 individual cottages plus one family cottage consisting of 2 bedrooms and a shared living area, giving us a total of 6 rooms accommodating up to 12 guests with aan option for extra beds in the respective rooms for children.
Each room is en-suite with large glass pane windows to take in the panoramic views of the landscape, which is framed by Mount Kenya. Each room has a private lounge area warmed by a corner fire, as well as large bathrooms with double sink, bath and shower.
The rooms are designed for warmth (Solio is high in altitude and can be cold at night), as well as outdoor living with each having a deck in front for relaxation during the day.

Solio Lodge boasts excellent standards of guiding, cuisine and personalized hosting. Activities include:
- Safaris: By vehicle, on foot, on horseback or by air
- Day and night game drives at Solio Sanctuary
- Morning birding and sundowner walks
- On Foot: experience wildlife and nature one on one.
- Horseback riding safaris – one of the best ways to enjoy viewing wildlife from a horseback
- Flying safari by private charter - Tropic Air's two Aero spatial helicopters to take guests on a breathtaking trip around the area
